Chairman

Dr Sin Chai

Dr. Sin Chai brings a distinguished record of leadership and enterprise development across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, construction, real estate, aviation, hospitality, and agriculture. His business activities span Southeast Asia, Canada, and Australia, where he has consistently driven growth and long-term value creation.

He initially established and managed agricultural portfolios in Canada and Australia, before broadening the group’s reach into real estate, hotels, and restaurants. Today, he provides strategic oversight for international holdings, guiding investment decisions and operational performance.

Under his stewardship, the group has acquired and developed notable assets such as Inverlochy Castle Hotel, Rocpool Reserve, and Knockendarroch Hotel in Scotland, together with a range of prestigious properties worldwide. His career reflects a sustained commitment to building resilient businesses, expanding global footprints, and safeguarding family legacy through prudent stewardship and visionary leadership.

Managing Director

Norbert Lieder

With a career spanning more than four decades, Norbert is a seasoned leader in the international luxury hospitality industry. He began his journey in Hamburg, where he completed both his apprenticeship and hotel management studies before joining Kempinski Hotels. His drive for excellence and ambition for global exposure soon led him to London, where he joined Hilton International and became one of the youngest Restaurant and Bar Managers in a five-star property.

Following his first hotel opening in Berkshire and his appointment as Food & Beverage Manager with Country House Hotels, Norbert’s career took him to Malaysia, where he played a defining role in positioning The Datai as one of the most celebrated hotels in the world.

Appointed as General Manager of The Financial Club in Jakarta, Norbert continued to refine his leadership expertise across Asia before moving to the Caribbean, where he successfully led luxury properties in Saint Lucia and Saint Kitts and Nevis. His tenure across these diverse markets strengthened his reputation for operational excellence and cultural adaptability.

Upon returning to Europe, Norbert assumed the role of General Manager at Inverlochy Castle in Scotland, where he transformed the property into a thriving year-round destination. Under his stewardship, Inverlochy Castle earned the prestigious distinction of being named “The Best Hotel in Europe” by Travel + Leisure, a testament to his strategic vision and uncompromising commitment to quality.

With a proven track record of leading large-scale transformations and delivering sustained business performance, Norbert brings a wealth of expertise in managing complex hotel portfolios and real estate assets. His strategic foresight and operational acumen have been key in expanding ICMI’s market presence and solidifying its reputation as a leader in the hospitality sector.

Under his leadership, ICMI has not only enhanced the performance of its existing properties but also successfully identified and capitalised on new investment opportunities, ensuring the continued growth and profitability of each property.

Revenue and Reservations Manager

Dorota Cikala

With a background in hospitality management and business strategy, Dorota has led revenue and reservations functions at multiple hotels for over a decade. She heads up ICMI’s central reservations team and plays a key role in driving occupancy and rate performance across the portfolio.

Sales and Marketing Manager

John Green

John and his team have represented and advised many of the world’s most distinctive independent hotels and destination brands — from Ritz Paris and Mandarin Oriental London to Café Royal London. With ICMI Hotel Consulting, he now leads domestic and international sales, steering one of the most accomplished global teams in the industry. Working closely with the Managing Director, he spearheads strategic business development, ensuring sustainable growth and commercial performance across the portfolio.

Group Operations Manager

Kerry Watson

Kerry Watson is an accomplished hospitality professional with extensive experience across luxury and boutique hotel operations worldwide. A graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, she earned a BA (Hons) with Distinction in Business Information Management, which included an international study programme in Denmark. Kerry later completed the prestigious General Management Program (GMP) at Cornell University and has undertaken specialist professional development in areas such as Italian Employment Law.

Her career began in some of Scotland’s most celebrated five-star properties, including Kinnaird (Relais & Châteaux), where she trained as Duty Manager, followed by leadership roles as Assistant General Manager at Inverlochy Castle (Relais & Châteaux, now SLH) and General Manager at Rocpool Reserve (5-Star).

Kerry joined ICMI in 2009 as Group Operations Manager, becoming a key member of the company’s senior leadership team. Over her tenure, she has been instrumental in the takeover, setup, and management of luxury hotels and resorts across Scotland, Singapore, Wales, the Caribbean, and Italy. Her expertise spans operational structure design, SOP implementation, training, recruitment, procurement, cost control, P&L analysis, revenue management, health and safety, and compliance.

In addition to her operational leadership, Kerry has delivered consultancy projects across global markets including Vietnam and Russia, supporting the development of new ventures through detailed operational assessments, reports, and strategic frameworks

Accounts Manager

Andy Yearling

A chartered accountant with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Andy leads the accounts and finance function for the ICMI portfolio. With 15 years’ experience across both practice and industry, he provides financial oversight, reporting, and cost control to support each hotel’s commercial goals.

Group Operations Manager

Niki Gillies

Niki Gillies holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Merit from De Montfort University and is a graduate of the General Managers Program at Cornell University, underscoring her commitment to operational excellence and continuous professional growth.

Throughout her career, Niki has held senior management positions leading five-star properties across Scotland, Singapore, the Caribbean, and New Zealand. Her portfolio includes leadership roles within Relais & Châteaux and Small Luxury Hotels collections, as well as the reopening and operational transformation of landmark hotels, the strategic rebranding of a flagship property in Singapore’s Central Business District, and the launch of multi-site luxury destination resorts in the Caribbean. She has also been instrumental in the transformation and refurbishment of historic castle and country house projects across Scotland, demonstrating her ability to deliver complex, high-value developments to world-class standards.

As Group Operations Manager, Niki oversees the development, integration, and performance of luxury destination properties across global markets. Her leadership is defined by strategic vision, meticulous execution, and an unwavering commitment to brand consistency, operational precision, and exceptional guest experience across every property.
